Tapping the Match Me button starts a real-time search for a compatible person who matches your preferences.

Match Me searches for a compatible person in real time, which requires significant computing power. Running searches continuously for everyone would mean compromising the accuracy of your potential matches, and we are not willing to do that. We take pride in presenting potential matches we genuinely believe you could get along with. That is why each search has a cooldown. Premium gives you shorter cooldowns.

This can happen when no available users align with your preferences or reach a high enough compatibility score. Answering more questions gives us a wider range of answers to compare, which can increase the likelihood of finding a compatible potential match. You can also review your matching preferences before trying again later.

A potential match is someone we suggest to you. They become a match when the interest is mutual between you and that person.

Passing on a potential match temporarily removes them from your pool of potential matches. They are not notified, and you cannot undo your decision. They may appear again after some time.

You can start a private conversation when a potential match becomes a match, meaning the interest is mutual. Messaging is not available before then.

If a conversation has disappeared, the user account it was connected to may no longer be available.

You can adjust YayOrNay notifications in your device's settings.

Tap in the bottom navigation to open Messages and open the match or conversation. Open the person's profile or tap in the chat header, then tap Safety Measures → Unmatch and confirm. Unmatching ends the connection immediately and cannot be undone.

Use Unmatch when you want to end the connection. Use Report when there is a safety or rule concern.

No. We cannot restore an unmatched connection.

No. YayOrNay does not have a public people directory or name search.

No. You can only message each other after the interest is mutual and the potential match becomes a match.

Check your internet connection and make sure the latest YayOrNay update is installed. Restart the app, open the conversation and try again. If the message still does not send, restarting your phone may help restore the connection.

No. You cannot edit or recall a sent message. Assume anything you send can remain visible to the recipient.

YayOrNay chat currently supports text, GIFs and voice messages. It does not provide a general photo or file attachment button. Avoid sending sensitive information in any message.

Tap in the bottom navigation to open Messages, open a conversation, then tap the GIF control beside the message field. Search or browse and tap the GIF you want to send.

Check your internet connection and reopen the conversation. The GIF may no longer be available if it still does not load.

Yes. Open a conversation and tap beside the message field. Make sure microphone access for YayOrNay is enabled in your device's settings.

Yes. Tap in the bottom navigation to open Messages, open the conversation, then press and hold the message. Choose a reaction; use the same menu to change or remove it. You can also double-tap a message to like it. Double-tapping a liked message removes the like.

Yes. In a private chat with a match, Seen appears beneath the latest message they have read.

It means someone in the conversation is currently writing a message. It disappears automatically when they stop typing.

If a match disappears and you did not unmatch or report them, the other person's account is no longer available.

Potential matches expire when the Match Me cooldown ends if you have not chosen Yay or Nay. Once a potential match becomes a match, it does not expire.

No. YayOrNay does not offer per-conversation muting. To modify your notifications, check your device's settings and notification preferences.

No. Always assume anything you send can be saved or shared with other people.

Someone you pass on may return to your pool of potential matches after some time. Someone you unmatch will not appear as a potential match again.

No. YayOrNay does not currently support sending photos in private conversations.

Cupid Mode lets you become the matchmaker by endorsing two people you think would be a good match. Your endorsement encourages them to connect, and a person's endorsement count is visible when they appear as a potential match.

Tap in the bottom navigation to open the Account page, then tap on your profile card to open Cupid Mode. Review both profiles and tap to endorse the pair, or tap Skip.

No. A Cupid arrow is an endorsement, not a match. The two people still make their own matching decisions.

They can see the number of Cupid endorsements connected to them and a match. We do not show them which Cupid sent an individual endorsement.

Your Cupid score is a Game result based on your Cupid activity. It is not a compatibility score or a measure of another user's popularity.

The Cupid leaderboard shows the current top Cupid scores. To see it, tap in the bottom navigation to open the Account page, tap , then tap your score in the top-right corner.

There are no eligible profile pairs ready for you right now. Finish your profile, answer more questions and check again later.

No. You cannot withdraw a Cupid endorsement after sending it.

No. Cupid Mode does not open a conversation. Messaging opens only through a match or another feature that creates a shared chat.

Yes. Tap in the bottom navigation to open the Account page, tap , then open the specific person's profile. Tap Safety Measures → Report to open the Report Center and follow the guided steps. Report the specific profile, not the pair.
