Getting started with YayOrNay

YayOrNay is a social discovery and matchmaking app built on the belief that there is more to a person than meets the eye. Finding people who truly share your values, interests and outlook can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. We use technology to improve those odds and help you discover meaningful connections for friendship, dating and real-life experiences.

No. You can look for dating, friendship or both. Tap in the bottom navigation to open the Account page, tap beside your profile photo, then use I'm looking for to choose friendship, dating or both.

Use the five options in the bottom navigation. Tap for your matches and conversations. Eligible accounts see , while other accounts see . Tap to answer questions, to view your assessment and to open the Account page. You can also swipe horizontally between these main screens.

Tap in the bottom navigation to open the Account page. Tap beside your profile photo to open Settings.

Your answers are at the heart of YayOrNay. We use them to help you discover like-minded people, and answering more opens up more ways to use the app. You can learn more about yourself through your Personality Assessment, play trivia games with friends and family, try Cupid Mode, explore Experiences and use Crews to help your friend group find new groups to meet and hang out with.

Yay means yes. Nay means no. Choose the answer that fits you; there is no correct response.

Yes. YayOrNay is available to use for free. Some optional enhanced features and Experiences may require an additional payment.

Download YayOrNay from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Use the official store links on yayornay.se.

No. Availability depends on your country, age and account. Update the app first. If a feature still does not appear, it is not available to you right now.

You must be at least 13, or the higher minimum legal age for using social media in your country. Adult-only features require you to be at least 18.

No. We do not allow anyone under 18, or under the higher age of majority where they live, to use Experiences or other adult-only features.

Tap in the bottom navigation to open the Account page. Tap beside your profile photo, then tap Language. Choose your preferred language from the available options and save your changes. Close and reopen YayOrNay if part of the interface still uses the previous language.

We sometimes require an update to keep our app secure and working properly. Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.

No. YayOrNay is currently available only through our official iOS app on the Apple App Store and our official Android app on Google Play. We do not currently support using YayOrNay in a web browser.

Yes. Sign in with the same email address on either device. Some permissions and notification settings differ between iPhone and Android, so review and enable the required settings on each phone.

No. Sign in with your email address and a one-time code. If a feature needs extra verification, we'll explain what to do.

No. You must complete the initial account setup before you can access YayOrNay. The setup screen shows which required details are still missing. Accounts that remain incomplete beyond the allowed completion period may be deleted.

Beta or early access means the feature is still being tested and can change. Access is limited, and screens can differ from older screenshots or help articles.

Yes, if YayOrNay is available in the country you are visiting. Local laws, regulations, age requirements or service restrictions may limit some features or prevent us from offering YayOrNay there. When the service is available and location access is enabled, nearby results can update to your current area.
